Hi, I'm Mother Sam!

The Rev'd Samantha Christopher is Priest-in-Charge at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Phoenix, Arizona. She holds a Master of Divinity from Yale University and a Diploma in Anglican Studies from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. She has served as Seminarian at St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, a historic Anglo-Catholic parish in New York City, and at Trinity Church on the Green in New Haven, Connecticut.

Prior to her time at Yale, she worked in Academic Administration at the University of Arizona from 2021 to 2022 and served as an Episcopal Service Corps member in Tucson from 2020 to 2021. A native Ohioan, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University. Samantha has worked on local and state-wide campaigns in Ohio, and interned in the Ottawa office of Daniel Blaikie, a former member of the House of Commons of Canada.

Samantha was ordained to the Diaconate on January 25, 2025 and to the Priesthood on August 23, 2025 by Bishop Jennifer Reddall of the Diocese of Arizona. She is a member of the Society of Catholic Priests, and lives in Phoenix with her fiancé.
